This latest version of Best Calculator, IOT Edition includes a support for some pretty exciting new devices! Firstly there’s the high-precision DPS310 from Infineon when attached to a IFX_NANOHUB Bluetooth board. Then there’s the Ardudroid system that lets you control Arduino devices through the common Bluetooth COM add-ons. And the last device specialization is the LittleBot from Slant Robotics! What all these devices have in is that they are all programmed through a classic Bluetooth Rfcomm interface — otherwise known as an SPP (Serial Port Protocol) interface. This is a conversational type interface, where you send and receive bytes to and from the device in an unstructured way.
And the regular Best Calculator users aren’t forgotten either. Thanks to popular demand, Best Calculator now supports an Engineering mode display. Engineering mode is like the exponential mode but the exponent is always divisible by three. That keeps the units neat and tidy, and matches more closely how numbers are presented in Engineering books.
There are even more new features detailed in the Release Notes section of the manual.
